Mt. Kilimanjaro

Mt. Kilimanjaro team building trek

Climbing Kilimanjaro is one of the most rewarding experiences you might ever have the chance to do. It’s actually quite a bit different from climbing Everest or any other mountaineering experience. There are typically no mountaineering equipment involved, and most anyone in good physical shape has a great chance or reaching the summit if they plan carefully, even with no real previous climbing experience. It’s basically like a long hike.

Of course, that’s not to make it sound easy. It’s not. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a very challenging thing and a not insignificant number of people are unable to make it all the way to the summit. The most common problem is altitude sickness and no one is immune from that possibility.

The climb almost always takes between 5 and 8 days, and always with a fixed and preset itinerary. The climb up Kilimanjaro is mostly a walk. Some places – particularly summit day – are steep and grueling, but at other times you’ll be walking through flat meadows or even descending for periods along the fixed routes. Mt. Kilimanjaro trek packages

Fresha Events has put together the ultimate team building package for your team. Take your team and your goals to another height!

The Kilimanjaro Trek

The awesome sight of the Kilimanjaro mountain with its glittering peaks, rising from the high Tanzanian plateau, is breathtaking. This immense, dormant volcano seems to watch over the fauna of East Africa. “Kili” is in fact made up of three different craters; the little Shira in the west, Mawenzi in the east and, in the centre, the enormous cone of Kibo, whose summit, Uhuru Peak (19,000ft), set in a spectacular background of hanging glaciers, is the climber’s goal. The Marangu route is the easiest and most classic climb but unfortunately, it is also the most frequented.

For this reason, we propose Machame route, a more natural and less crowded route of roughly the same level of difficulty as the normal route. This alternative itinerary offers a number of advantages; 6 days actual climbing which means climbers acclimatize better, different routes for climbing and descending giving them a change of scenery and finally, a wilder and more varied scenery.

As there are no huts on this route, the accommodation is under canvas. The advantage is that climbers do not find themselves in overcrowded dormitory style huts. Furthermore, climbers who have done both routes all maintained that they got a more complete feeling of accomplishment when doing the Machame route than the Marangu route.

We welcome you all to come and experience the tallest peak in Africa!!!!!

Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions in Kenya

M.I.C.E is used to refer to a particular type of tourism in which large groups, usually planned well in advance, are brought together for some particular purpose. Recently, there has been an industry trend towards using the term “Meetings Industry” to avoid confusion from the acronym.

Most components of M.I.C.E are well understood, perhaps with the exception of incentives. Incentive tourism is usually undertaken as a type of employee reward by a company or institution for targets met or exceeded, or a job well done. Unlike the other types of M.I.C.E tourism, incentive tourism is usually conducted purely for entertainment, rather than professional or educational purposes.

M.I.C.E tourism usually includes a well-planned agenda centered on a particular theme, such as a hobby, a profession, or an educational topic. Such tourism is a specialized area with its own trade shows and practices.

Recently Kenya was ranked fourth in Africa’s best M.I.C.E destination after South Africa, Egypt and Morocco, according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) official ranking. Globally the Country scooped position 60 up from 623 in the year 2008.

On of the most recognized M.I.C.E centers in Kenya is the KICC. Kenyatta International Conference Center has been an icon and landmark for Kenya and the rest of eastern and central Africa from time in memorial. This has distinguished it as a premiere meeting venue all through the region. KICC boasts of being the largest facility in conference tourism industry South of Sahara and the North of Limpopo and hence why most regional and international conferences have been held including conventions of the UN organizations.
